Portable Weigh-In-Motion Scale Description

In areas not served by permanent weigh stations, Intercomp LS788-WIM™ Portable Weigh-In-Motion Scales allow for screening and enforcement by vehicle safety officials. The LS788-WIM™ Portable WIM Scale utilizes Intercomp’s robust, proven strain gauge technology, offering field dependability, accuracy and ease of operation compared to hydraulic or quartz-based scales. Used along with roll-up portable ramps, the Portable Weigh-In-Motion Scales system measures just 0.87 inches (22 mm) in height and can easily weigh vehicles either statically or in motion.

At Intercomp, we manufacture LS788-WIM™ Portable Weigh-In-Motion Scale Systems with GVW accuracy of 2 to 3% at low speed and ± 0.5% in static mode.  The scales collect axle weights, group weights, gross vehicle weight, and axle spacing data for a full vehicle weight profile.
